TONY KING is one of Australia's most respected and diverse composers. Over his 25 year career, Tony has composed music for many hundreds of hours of television, including drama, children's animation, documentaries, and feature films. He has been awarded several Gold and Platinum records and an Aria Award for his composing. Tony is an accomplished Performer who plays Electric, Acoustic (steel, nylon, 6 &12 stringed) Guitars, Blues Harp, Bass (both fretted & fretless Instruments) and is gifted with a smooth, creamy voice. He has written and recorded and produced albums for many Australian and International artists and continues to do so. |

2008 Tony recorded and mixed an album for Nina Vox. In February 2008 Tony was invited to perform with brilliant Chanteuse, Camille O'Sullivan from Ireland. Her Show "The Dark Angel" played to sell out audiences at The Studio @ The Sydney Opera House. Jacques Brel, Tom Waits , Nick Cave and many authors of human frailty performed brilliantly by Camille and the band. |

In early 2007 Tony recorded, mixed, performed on and produced Kaye Tuckerman's debut album "SIREN". A brilliant debut for Kaye, recorded @ TSS @ Fox Studios in Sydney then mixed @ Moonlight Cactus Studios , Sydney. Then in 2008 Theatre Star and Cabaret Performer, Tyran Parke enlisted Tony to record and Produce his debut CD "SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE" |

In 2006 Tony successfully launched THE WINE MUSIC in the USA and then in Europe in June/ July 2007. It is a truly Unique Idea and Tony's musical compositions are enchanting.Tony is using 100% of proceeds from sales of The Wine Music to build wells in Ethiopia in aproject called "WINE INTO WATER" Tony co-write a song with Louise Perryman , Kris Ralph and Bill Risby for Louise's solo album. The song "Genius of Love" won SONG OF THE YEAR 2006, in the Australian Songwriters Association Awards. In 2005 Tony released a series of compositions made exclusively from the sounds of wine, wine glasses, bottles, barrels, corks popping and called it The Wine Music. It was the most requested piece of music on ABC Classical FM radio and recieved much press. In 2004 Tony produced an album of original songs with Kris Ralph. It was recorded at The TSS @ Fox Studios with some of Sydney's finest musicians. Entitled "Beautifully Mad" - it is a sensuous, cruisey album. Standout tracks are Beautifully Mad, Just For Two, The Tide Will Come In, Hurricane Louise , To Do Nothing. The album cover features Kris Ralph's artwork. |

Tony started writing with Andrew Strong in late 2000 at first by correspopdence and then by travelling to Ireland to work with Andrew in person. The end result was the Release in 2001 of "GYPSY'S KISS", in Scandinavia. Tony co-wrote 4 songs including the single and title track. King's and Queens, The World has Changed Forever, 24/7 Lover have recieved constant airplay and in 2001 sales for Gypsy's Kiss went Platinum. BURBANK 1997-2000 |
1999 CLOSE CONTACT - Screentime / Channel Seven Tele Movie - Tony was commissioned to write and record the score for this telemovie which was released in Australia in 1999 and then OS . The film score featured some amazing sounds of a woomera (an Aboriginal spear thrower) 1998 TVU - Theme for "Stacked Pack" - Lane Cove Council which went on to win the ATOM AWARD (Australian Teachers of Media) in 1999 In 1997 Tony was commissioned to score a feature length animated film for the then Burbank Animation- The Secret of Camelot. This lead to a series of commissioned works for Burbank and the result was a five film series from 1997 -1999 the titles are as follows: Mulan, The Three Little Pigs, The Littlest Mermaid, Moses The Prince of Egypt and Anna and The King. Then in 2000 Tony was commissioned to score a series of five animated feature length films for Burbank Animation. The titles are Easter in Bunnyland, The Little Drummer Boy, Canterville Ghost, Silent Night, Joseph and His Coat of Many Colours. The animations were first released in the USA and now have distribution worldwide. |

1997 WANTED - Korean Co-production Feature Film Tony King Sound Design and Score - recorded @ Audioscapes in Newtown Sydney, with engineer Jim Blackfoot. It was an adventurous task with limited budget. The experience was lifechanging and the film was recieved well throughout South Korea and Asia. 1997 FULL OF THE MOON - Moonlight Cactus Album with Kris Ralph. A collection of original tunes influenced by the beauty of the Whitsunday Islands and dedicated to the memory of Margaret Ralph. 1994 Established Moonlight Cactus Studios in Sydney and recorded "Is That Jazz" a song covered by The famous Jazz legend Kerrie Biddell three years later. 1991-92 Professional Songwriting - UPROAR MUSIC With Roy Nicolson, Tony wrote & composed #1, #2, & #15HIT SINGLES (on the Australian ARIA Charts) for Actress Melissa Tkautz in 1991. He and Roy continued to write songs together in 1992. 1989 AFTER THE TONE - Solo Album - When CD manufacturing was offshore and very costly. Tony wrote, recorded and produced his first solo album @ Trackdown studios in Sydney. Outstanding solos from King and saxophonist Craig Walters. It's category today would be Acoustic Chill. |

1987 Tour to Edinburgh / Frankfurt Jazz Festivals with Madam and the Rent Party - Madame Patricia Thompson heads the band. Tony plays Bass, David Bates, Piano: Jiri Kripac, trumpet& sax: Peter saunders, Drums: Bobby Porter , Clarinet; Graham Walker, Rhythm Guitar. Everyone sings! Legendary! 1986 How Green Was My Cactus Radio Comedy Series- Tony was privileged to co-write the theme to How Green Was My Cactus in 1986 Concieved and written by Doug Edwards. He also co-wrote with Doug for a period of six months in 1988. Doug Edwards co-wrote The Samuel Pepys Shows which were performed live @ the Phillip Street Theatre in 1984-85. Tony also performed music live for these shows. |
